The scene opens with a solo first verse of ‘Just arrived’, as others gather on the streets of Broadway to continue the song in three parts. The pace increases as Broadway beckons for our ‘troupe of strolling players’, rushing off, leaving our ‘Broadway Baby’ looking for that big break. The others return ready for ‘Another opening’ and a ‘Lullaby of Broadway’.
